oh maaan, it's HOT today!! weather is so weird in la jolla. it was so foggy this morning; it looked all cold and nasty. but then, like, fifteen minutes before i was about to leave, the fog started burning off and there were like no clouds, so i changed, but stillll, the sun was like burning my skin when i was walking on library walk.

oh!! the fair's here!! well, it's not really a fair but that's what we call it, cuz it doesn't really have a name. like, once or twice a quarter, a whole bunch of vendors come to ucsd and set up their booths on library walk. they sell, like a whole bunch of cool, random stuff like posters, framed art, clothes (incl some really cool thai wraps!), shoes (awesome boots), candles, incense, jewelry, cds, etc. oh, aaaaand KETTLE CORN!!! mmmmm....of course, i bought a big bag. :) these fairs just like suck my wallet dry though. everyone makes fun of me when they see me come back from classes with like a shopping bag. whatever. i got some cool stuff, dude! i bought a new pair of sunglasses since i lost a pair and broke another pair. i also got a metal sign of rosie the riveter. it's a painting of a lady from the 40's or 50's, i think. she's wearing a blue collar shirt and a red and white polka dot bandana in her hair and she's rolling up her sleeve and flexing her arm and she's saying "we can do it!" yeah, i think i'm gonna put this one out in the apartment. :) also got some random hair clips. gonna get another pair of boots later. found a last of the mohicans poster but the guy was selling it for like $22!!! geezus...i could get it on ebay for like half that!

anyway, hope my parents send more money with my retainer. oh oops, should probably email my address to my parents.

oh, i switched out of my italian class this morning too. i'm still taking italian, but it's with a different instructor. in fact, it's with the instructor i had for my folk and fairy tales class last year. thing is, my original italian class was way too crowded. so a second instructor (the lady who taught my folk and fairy tales class last year) finally came today and called out a list of names of people who were gonna be in her class. the whole time, i was sitting there like, please call my name please call my name please call my name. she never called my name. but then at the end, she was like, anyone else who wants to come with me can come. and like three or four people got up and followed her out....myself included. :) cuz the thing with the first instructor is that she's a native italian speaker. actually, that's not a bad thing cuz like, all my previous italian instructors were native speakers as well. it's just that this instructor was like on speed when she was talking to us. my new instructor is like american; italian is like her 2nd or 3rd language. so yeah...it was already a LOT easier to understand her. i don't think she remembers me from her folk and fairy tales class though. but then again, there were like 60-70 students in that class.

anyway, also signed up for kickboxing at rimac with melissa! yay! funfunfun!!! :)

eew, britney spears new song is not very good. is anyone else noticing her new southern accent? is it just me, or did she like start speaking like that recently? i don't think she had a southern accent before.... anyway, whatever, time for lunch.
