my vietnamese teacher has a boyfriend. it's so cute! i don't know how we started talking about this, but we started talking about what vietnamese men are like. the ta said, "vietnamese men are passive!!" [among other things]. there was a pause and then the teacher looked at all the guys in class and was like, "well, say something!" one of the guys was like, "hey, i'm not vietnamese." turns out he's chinese. you know what's really sad? he's chinese but he speaks vietnamese better than i do! argh. anyway, one of the other guys was like, "hey, i was born here, so i'm american!" it was kind of funny because all the girls in class (there are like 7 guys, 11 girls) just started ragging on vietnamese guys all of a sudden and the guys just kind of sat there. and then one of the girls said, "we want to hear about your boyfriend. tell us about him!" and the teacher just kind of blushed. i don't think she ever told us she had a boyfriend until today. so her silence kind of acknowledged that she had one, you know? after the teacher didn't say anything after a while, the same girl was like, "is he cute?" and she was like, "sure, for 57, he's pretty cute!" i don't know why but i thought it was just so funny to hear that from my vietnamese teacher. think it's kinda sweet too. ;) "aww...old people can be so sweet!!" [clueless] she talked about him a bit more. said he was a lawyer and very "tender." she likes to use that word a lot. no, he's not tender as in tender chicken, but you know, tender as in sweet and thoughtful.

anyway. i'm bored. what to do, what to do...hey, should i get my flu shot? well, not right now, but later. i don't know if i've ever had one before. i probably have, i just don't remember. they're offering them at the student medical center for $15. i don't get the flu very often. actually, i don't even remember the last time i had the flu. i have this urge to write up my physics lab right now. isn't that sad? it's a friday night and i feel like doing homework. my lab isn't even due till like a week and a half from now.

well, okay, this is a boring blog. i'm going to go make myself some pancakes and find something to do. bye.
