it took me an hour and a half to get home from school today when it should have only taken me 20 minutes. i wanted to cry.

well, okay, not really. i just had to pee really badly and i was really sleepy. yes, i realize those two feelings completely contradict one another, but still.

apparently, there was an accident on the 15, just at the miramar exit that somehow managed to back up traffic all over north county, on every surrounding street and freeway. goddamn it. i seriously started nodding off. the traffic was lulling me to sleep. at which point, i called helen. i asked her where she was and she said, "I'M STUCK IN TRAAAAAFFIC." to which i said, "MEEEEE TOOOOOOO!!!" apparently, she was only about half a mile behind me. it was ridiculous, really.

oh, and i almost ran over two motorcyclists in that big huge traffic jam. i was trying to change lanes, and they came out of NOWHERE!! well, okay, really, they just came from behind me. i hate how motorcyclists drive between the lanes. this is why they die. people like me don't see them (even if they are wearing bright orange safety vests). i mean, c'mon!! really, they should've seen me. i had my blinker on and everything. and then the car behind me honked at me for stopping for the motorcyclists!! GAH!!

and to make matters worse, the only semi-decent alternative radio station in san diego has been taken over by some crappy country station (sort of redundant really, seeing as how all country music is CRAP). what's stupid is that that crappy country station is already on ANOTHER call number. so now it's on TWO stations at once. why, god, WHY?!?

sigh. anyway. adolescence lecture was pretty amusing today. it was on sexuality. one of the TAs was giving the lecture. she was talking about the sexual double standard; you know, where if guys sleep with a ton of girls, society will think it's just fine and may even give him a nice little pat on the back whereas if girls sleep with a ton of guys, society will think she's a whore. anyway, she asked us to give us the different names that we call guys and girls who sleep with a bunch of people. we started on the list for guys first. came up with "pimp" and "playboy." and someone suggested "jerk." haha. and then a girl yelled out, "SLUT!" and the TA was like, "do we really call men sluts?" and the girl said, "i do." hahahaha...

hmm...surfing's off this weekend. :( oh well. if we go snowboarding, i'll just pretend i'm surfing. that's so sad...

i'm all done with midterms now. woohoo. nothing else to worry about until finals. har har har...
