weekend food.

i'm so bored that all that's left for me to do is blog.

so my weekend pretty much consisted of food, food, and more food. on saturday, went to jo's for a bbq! see pictures here. the bbq was in honor of her going away/birthday. and, okay fine, yom kippur too. we spent a total of twelve hours at her house. from noon to nearly midnight. activities included eating lots of meat (yummy yummy meat), naked game, burning large chunks of meat, playing sardines, human knot, extreme guesstures, eating more meat, and basically just lots of sitting around, chatting, and the usual silliness.

when we were playing sardines, deb and i had the most awesomest hiding spot ever (i don't care if that's grammatically incorrect because it really was the most awesomest hiding spot ever). we actually hid behind the next door neighbor's tree which was to the side of their front door. it was this little corner that was right next to jo's backyard fence. so we were actually quite close. unfortunately, everyone else wandered very far away and we were never found. they eventually gave up and started yelling out our names so we came out. mwahahahha. i think it's funny that we never really want to play hide-and-seek or sardines because we think there's no real place to hide but the last two times we've played those games, no one has ever been found. not to say that we're all still lost out there, but you know what i mean. okay, given, we did play manhunt in the dark at an unfamiliar camping site (not smart thinking on our part) but still. okay, now i don't know what i'm talking about any more. moving on...

on sunday, a whole bunch of relatives came over for lunch. there were also a bunch of people i didn't know. so it was great fun having my mother drag me around by my arm, shoving me in front of people i don't know, and say things about me in vietnamese that i can't understand. and i made poor mike stay for lunch too. luckily, no one really bothered us except for my slightly tipsy uncle who reminds me of dr. hibbert on the simpsons and insulted his own wife's egg rolls. but there was a lot of really good food. mmmmm....more meat. there was actually an entire cooked pig sitting on the kitchen counter. the only things left of it, however, were its head (with maraschino cherries for eyes) and some of its hindquarter. i really don't know why i'm going into so much detail, but yeah. it was a good pig.

anyway, that was basically my weekend. just lots of good food.

p.s.: hi nance! yeah, i like to refer to leah as my very own internet stalker. ;D
