i had a really good day today. :)

well, the day didn't really start until around 5 pm when we (me, jacq, ha, chi) headed up to berkeley to meet up with the other girls (deb, mar, san, jen, and chris who beat us by half an hour) for dinner. it was a girl's night out. man...i loved seeing almost all my girls in one place. it was pure joy. and really really funny. i miss san's weird, random, yet hilarious statements. "i drove up a cliff and got stuck!!" so we went to caffe giovanni for dinner. it was this really cute italian place. i had the prosciutto calzone that was just stuffed with so much cheese that after a few bites, i was totally filled up from the cheese. it probably didn't help that i ate lunch a little late too. after that we headed to mondo gelato for some gelato. yummm... i had strawberry and caramel. mmmmm..... mar finally met up with us there.

so then after that, we headed over to mar's house and just hung out. played silly stupid games that frustrated me to no end. "if i'm a dot, and she's a dot, are you a dot?" gah!! *throws up hands in frustration* finally, we played one that i got. i was the second one to get it!! woohoo!! aaahhahahahahahahaha... *maniacal laughter* and then after that, we told riddles. we played the "how did he die?" riddles. and then there was a logic question that mar asked that i got (with jacq's help) but no one understood me!! i was right and no one believed me!! yeah... there was some anger involved. hahaha... i was just really into it. ann-chi's life was dependent upon the correct answer. ;) and somewhere in there, mar told us a scary story of a girl with red eyes. *shudder* ack, i shouldn't have thought about that just now because now i'm going to have nightmares. anyway, it was a nice relaxing time at mar's. then around 10, we all headed over to san's place to check it out. she has a white kitty!! it's so pretty!! (that rhymes.) it's name is bubby. it's the cutest thing ever. and so soft too! i wanted to keep playing with it forever. but, alas, we had to leave to catch the bart back to fremont.

so jacq, ha, chi, and i were dropped off at the bart station by san and deb. there was some walking around to find an open bathroom but we finally found one in jupiter and off we went. reminisced about junior high and high school (mrs. bonaccorsi, not bonacelli. hahahaha...) and then the lightning storm started!! duuuuuude.... the lightning storm is still going on. although it's dying down a bit. it started (or at least we started noticing it) around 1140 pm. just these huuuuge bolts streaking across the sky. what makes it so amazing is that it's JUST lightning. there hasn't been much thunder and there's no rain so we have a perfect view of the lightning. chi and jacq were especially amazed by it. after every bolt, there was a big "whoooaaaa....!!" from them. hahaha... and then when we got off bart, we stayed on the platform for like ten minutes while chi and jacq tried to take pictures of the lightning. it was pretty funny. we were all sort of giddy and giggly like little kids. but there were some huuuuge bolts!! sometimes, there was more than one bolt. and sometimes, there were ones that were so big that the entire sky lit up. it was crazy. and then on the way home from ha's place, jacq and i saw a guy on mission taking pictures of the lightning. and then on the way home from jacq's place, i saw all these people pulled over on the side of the road just watching the lightning. i don't know what's so fascinating about all this lightning yet i've turned off my light and pulled up the blinds in order to watch it some more. i think it's just because we have such a good view and because it's not raining or thundering or anything - it's just the lightning. it's died down quite a bit but there are still some really big bolts streaking the sky every now and then.

all in all, it's been a really good evening. i missed hanging out with so many of my girls all at once. just non-stop giggling and laughing (mostly at san or mar or san AND mar. ;D) and then the lightning storm was pretty darn cool, too. ;)

oh yes, and today, i officially own the celica. it is no longer my mother's. she bought a new white SUV, a toyota highlander. i have no idea why. we don't NEED an SUV. plus, my mother is so tiny! the SUV is so huge!! oh well, whatever, the celica is mine. i decided to christen it by driving it in the dark for the very first time. it was just fate that the lightning storm took place at the exact same time.

anyway, it's still really warm outside. 73 degrees at one in the morning! geez!! time to peel off these clothes... ooh, sexy. ;)
