okay, i'm bored. time to blog.

yesterday was the first day of class. it was okay. nothing extraordinary. my critical gender studies course reader is a huge fat monster of a book. and we already have two other books to read for that class as well. terrific.

still looking for a 199. two of the three that i'm considering works with infants and little kids. i can't wait. ;D i've got a meeting with the grad student in charge of the infant 199 later this afternoon.

which means that i'm bored at the moment because i have nothing better to do except wait for that meeting. i've unpacked everything, run all my errands, done my laundry, bought my books. i guess it's life back to "normal" again. ooh, maybe i'll go shopping. but my credit card is maxed out again. this is not my fault. i purposely cut back on using it lately because i was afraid this very thing would happen. capital one sucks. i don't know what's going on. i took a look at my account online and it totally doesn't add up to $500. argh.

oh yeah, i pumped my own gas yesterday! this was the first time i've done it completely alone. of course i screwed it up. the first pump i went to wouldn't accept my credit card but i thought it was just the pump, so i went to the next one. next one wouldn't accept it either so i went inside to pay. cashier wouldn't accept the credit card either so finally i realize that it's the credit card and give him my debit card instead. that works. so then i stuck the nozzle into the car but nothing happened. i did everything, i unscrewed the cap, pushed the button, stuck the nozzle in, and pumped. but there was nothing. i panicked briefly thinking, "WHY GOD, WHY?!?!" then just tried to do it again and it worked. hallelujah.

hmm...what else. my surfing classes are this weekend. there are several things i am afraid of: 1) i will get lost trying to get to the class; 2) i will not be able to even stand on the board like sanaz; and 3) well, it's just basically 1 and 2 but i felt like there should be a 3. well, we'll just see how it goes. should be warm this weekend so that will be nice. *knocks on wood*
