my life is horribly boring. nothing too exciting going on. i did just startle melissa which was pretty funny. but she's easily startled so it's always guaranteed fun.

anyway, i dropped my critical gender studies class. i was taking it as a ge but i looked at my degree audit last week (after it finally got fixed. when the degree audit program first started, they got my transcript completely wrong. they said that i had taken classes like upper div chem and ballet. apparently i did not do so well in either subject. anyway, i digress...) and it said that my social studies requirement had already been fulfilled with my ap psych credit and my psych 60 credit. so i went to academic advising juuust to make sure and they said yes, my degree audit was in fact correct. so....i decided to drop my critical gender studies class. it was just too much work. waaay too much reading. what sucks is that i've already bought all my books for that class and can't return them. especially the damn course reader. grr. oh well. if i ever need anything to read myself to sleep with, i can use that. it's too bad though because i actually found the class to be pretty interesting. but oh well. i'm a lazy person. "pretty interesting" isn't enough to motivate me to keep the class.

anyway. this now means that i only have two classes and the research project i've joined. and one of my classes meets only once a week. so it's an extremely light schedule for me this quarter. yeees...

so want to hear a funny story? well...funny or scary, depending on your point of view. melissa found it very amusing, as did i. so the both of us went out for baskin robbins and came back about half an hour ago. i parked my car in the garage, turned off my headlights, took off my seatbelt, and prepared to get out of the car when i suddenly realized that i had almost forgotten the most important part - to turn the car off. what's even funnier (or scarier) is that i said this out loud and accidentally referred to my car as "the tv." "i almost forgot to turn the tv off!!"

oh, something else i found amusing today. this morning, i went to the police station to get fingerprinted for the research project (since we work so closely with preschoolers, the preschools require us to get fingerprinted and tb tested). there was this elderly volunteer couple who were taking care of the walk-in fingerprinting. i got such a kick out of their last name though - kneebone. their last name was kneebone. mr. and mrs. kneebone. frank and laura kneebone. KNEEBONE!! their last name is KNEEBONE!! yeah, i giggled about that one for quite a bit.

see? i told you my life was boring.
