oops.

long time, no update.

so what's been going on in the past week.  let's see...

last saturday, went to monterey bay aquarium with mike.  we had this trip planned for a long while so it was good that we finally had time to go.  the sea otters were cute (i just wanted to pick one up, take it home, and keep it in my bathtub) and the jellyfish were cool looking.  there was this one baby manta ray we saw whose ventral side was pressed up against the window.  we could see the "face" on its bottom side and it was moving side to side so it looked like some funny little face dancing.  we also saw some manta ray and shark egg cases where they had cut out a small square portion of the outer case so that we could actually see the unborn (unhatched?) ray or shark moving around inside.  that was pretty darn cool.  anyway, took lots of pictures.  ate lunch at the fish hopper where every table had an ocean view.  very pretty.  and yummy clam chowder.

this past week was the last week of the summer camp thing. i love those kids and they're just so adorable but boy, am i glad that's over. three weeks is a good amount of time. there were a couple of days in the last week where they were just so out of control that i was yelling every few minutes and my voice got all crackly and hoarse. but i took plenty of pictures of them on thursday and friday.

i'm having a bit of trouble with my digital camera though. the program won't let me upload pics to my computer. i haven't even uploaded the pictures from camping. it's a good thing i have such a big flash disk so i won't have to worry about transferring pics to my computer for a while.

anyway, the last day of class was spent doing mad libs. the boys, of course, decided to fill their stories with a bunch of words such as "poo," "pee," and "poopy." very hysterical according to them.

but it's all over now and i am glad that i won't have to wake up so early for a while. and i got paid! yay! money is good. unfortunately, now i don't have any excuse for not cleaning or studying or catching up on all my books. well, except for laziness. laziness is always a good excuse.

speaking of laziness, i've had "shower" as my away message for the past two hours but have been far too lazy to actually go take one. so i shall go do that as soon as i'm finished blogging.

so yeah, that's been my life lately. not very exciting. but i'm content. very content. 

ps: i have just added jem and imogen heap to my list of favorite musical artists because they are just so very awesome.
