such a weird day. started off crappy. had to get up early to go to vietnamese that was all the way across campus. plus it was all foggy. and right before i left, my stomach was in complete chaos. it was a bad tummy ache. thought i would have to skip vietnamese which i didn't want to do, but i just got up and started walking when it stopped hurting. but then it started hurting again while i was walking and i was just like, oh dear god, please shoot me now. i was okay once i sat down. then after vietnamese, i had to walk aaaaall the way back for italian. luckily, i wasn't late for either class. it was weird though. hearing vietnamese for an hour, and then switching to italian. i think another reason i'm so frustrated with vietnamese is that it's completely different from european languages. and since the first foreign language i learned (not counting english even though, technically, english is my second language) was spanish, i just got used to learning european languages, especially with italian. anyway, once i got out of physics, it was all sunny and my mood gradually lifted. my mood really correlates with the weather; it's weird.
oh!! i saw so many people today, it was so random! after physics, i came back to the apartment to change into a tank top and flip flops cuz the shoes i was wearing were bruising my feet (especially after crossing campus twice). then i left to go run some errands. on my way to price center, on library walk, i ran into bobby, victoria, and nibi all talking to each other. actually, the first person i saw was nibi; i didn't notice victoria and bobby till i got closer. squealed and hugged victoria since i hadn't seen her this whole time. stayed and chatted with them for a while. bobby told some weird story about a guy falling off his skateboard. while i was talking to them, carrie yu walks by. she went to junior high and high school with me and is a year younger. we don't really know each other, but she stopped to say hi. she's taller than me, dammit. but then again, nearly everyone is. anyway, i left soon after, and walked down the steps to price center and i see pearlyn handing out fliers for her sorority. we talk for a while; she asks to see my second tattoo; just happily chattering away when all of a sudden, i hear "CHERRY!!" and i turn around and it's chris! not msj chris, but atlantis chris. we hug and pearlyn asks me how i know him, and i told her that he used to live in my building last year. and then chris asks me how i know pearlyn and i tell him that i went to high school with her. but it still didn't register in my head that they knew each other; i'm very slow. so i started introducing them to one another, but they were like "yeah, we know each other." and i was like "what?! how?" it turns out that chris is pearlyn's pledge brother! i was like, "whoaaa....that's so weird!" i mean, i knew pearlyn was in a sorority, and i knew chris was in a fraternity, but i never knew they were brother/sister frat/sorority and i, of course, didn't know that they knew each other. what a small, small world. saw sandeep while me, chris, and pearlyn were talking too. this is a lot of people for me to see in one day! i know it's not for most people, but ucsd is a big campus and i really don't know all THAT many people. anyway, talked with pearlyn for a long while, then left to finish my errands.
after all that, i got a funnel cake since today was the last day for the fair. it was apple with cinnamon powder. it was gooooood. i actually finished like 95% of it all by myself! the bad thing about funnel cakes is that they're always so big and i usually split them or end up throwing half of it away. so food coma quickly took over after i finished eating. but mmmm...nice end to a nice day that started off crappy. :)
