ohmygoodness...our dishwasher exploded.

see, we had been using our dishwasher as a dish rack to dry our dishes. the problem with that was that when the dishes just sat there and dried, the water would drip down to the bottom of the dishwasher. eventually, there was like, a gross brown puddle of water at the bottom of the dishwasher that was stuck there because it wasn't being drained. so we decided to run a cycle to flush the gross water out.

now here's where we ran into the, uh, problem. helen came home early this morning and decided to go ahead and run the cycle. unfortunately, we were the only ones home and, even more unfortunately, neither of us had used a dishwasher before. so, um, we made the mistake of putting dishwasher liquid in the dishwasher. but see, the dishwasher liquid we put in wasn't intended for the dishwasher. it's the kind you use to hand wash dishes, it's not like, the detergent that's only meant for the dishwasher. so, i went to go take a shower and when i came out, there was soap and water all over the kitchen floor. oops. hehe. ;D
