funny night, man. so me, sanaz, and matt ate dinner at the girls' apartment with melissa and grace. they made pasta and brownies, yum. :) afterwards, we moved to the living room and we were just sitting there talking about random stuff. sanaz started saying how she was going deaf and melissa was like, "so you're blind and deaf?" and sanaz was like "yeah, like helen keller" at the exact same time that melissa said, "yeah, like anne frank." we all just stopped and looked at her and then like burst out laughing. melissa tried to justify it by saying that helen keller's teacher's name was anne sullivan but we were just like, "whatever, melissa. you're stupid." it was just the funniest thing; we couldn't stop laughing for like five minutes. you know, reading my blog right now, i think it's another one of those "you had to be there" moments. it was just so hilarious cuz it was melissa. i don't know. melissa's just a silly girl. ;)
after dinner, me and sanaz went back to the apartment and tried to figure out something to do. sanaz told me she found my matches, and i went around the apartment lighting like, all the candles. it was pretty cool! :) and then we decided to come up with a creative answering machine message thing. at first we were just gonna sing the message in some weird tune cuz earlier we were talking about how funny it would be if life were a musical and we sang everything instead of speaking it (we were watching some clips i downloaded from moulin rouge which is why we started talking about that). but then i suggested like, using a song that already exists and just changing the words to that. so we started trying to change the words to london bridge is falling down. but then we decided to do something funnier like, nsync's it's gonna be me. we sat there for like half an hour to 45 minutes trying to come up with the words and it actually sounded really cool. but when we tried to record it, we kept cracking up. there was this one recording of us singing it halfway through and then sanaz busting up laughing and then me yelling "DAAAAMN YOOOOOUUU!!!" into the machine. eventually, we were able to sing it without laughing, but then the stupid STUPID machine kept cutting us off! so we just kept speeding up the song until we were able to get the entire thing into the machine. but then when we replayed it, it just sounded so garbled because the recording quality is pure CRAP. we had a few people call us and listen to it, and they agreed - it was just too difficult to make out what we were saying, partly because we were singing too fast, but mostly because the recording quality is just so crappy. *sigh* so we were a little depressed that all our hard work didn't really work out. but well, it was good bonding time for me and sanaz. :) (okay, so i'm only saying that cuz i know that she's the only one that ever reads my blogs. just kidding, sanaz. ;)
anyway, we're gonna keep that message for a very short while; at least until neha and natasha come back from home so they can listen to it. then, we'll change it. dunno what to though. oh well. still...what a funny, funny night. i have such funny friends.
