my mother is so funny. she called me around 7 to see how i was. my parents usually call me every sunday night. she asked me how i was doing and i told her that i had just added vietnamese. she was really surprised but she said that it made her really happy. :) but then i started complaining about how i wasn't understanding the homework and how much trouble i was having with it and before i could even explain what specifically i had trouble with, she said, "okay, just e-mail me all your homework, and i'll do it for you." very tempting, but then, of course, how will i ever learn? so i told her no, but i talked to her for a while about my homework and stuff.
my parents are so cool about this thing though. i mean, up until i was about twelve years old, they tried everything to get me to relearn vietnamese including buying a ton of vietnamese instruction books and enrolling me in that horrible, horrible vietnamese class. but then, after that, they kinda just let it go. so i guess they didn't expect me to add vietnamese to my schedule. and when i was talking to them about it and i was complaining that it was hard and i didn't understand anything, they told me, "it's okay, if you don't like the class, just drop out of it. you don't have to learn vietnamese if you don't want to; we don't expect you to." they were so cool about it. i told them that yeah, i was going to stick with it for a few weeks and see if it takes. i still have until fourth week to drop.
anyway...got vietnamese and italian homework to do. so must stop blogging now.
