IT IS NOW 38 DEGREES OUTSIDE.

i really want to go to a wedding. i've only really been to one wedding, but it was a vietnamese one when i was like 8 or 9 years old. i want to go to a traditional, american one. well, i don't know if you could say a traditional american one, since there isn't really an "american" wedding, but you know what i mean...well, basically, i'd like to go to a wedding ceremony given in english. i would be even more thrilled if i could be in the wedding party, like a bridesmaid or maid of honor. soo...that means, if you're one of my girl friends, you better hurry up and get married soon. i'd like to go to a wedding, please.

god, i look hideous today. i do everyday, but today i am especially so. today, i am a special brand of hideousness.

i woke up 10 minutes ago. i just slept for 12 and a half hours.

- writing christmas cards.
- reading.

yay!! just got back from the mall with chris. was a pretty productive trip. let's see, i got jacq's christmas gift, part of dylan's birthday gift, a *small* part of my (fremont) secret santa gift [oooh...almost wrote out her name. she never reads my blogs, but still], and two boxes of christmas cards. i just need to get my (san diego) secret santa gift and...the rest of my (fremont) secret santa gift. what about my parents? i don't know...i just feel really weird getting gifts for my parents since i'm pretty much using their money. i mean, if i see something for them, sure i'll buy it, but i usually don't get them christmas gifts. my mom hates it. but...well, we'll see. maybe i will. but anyway, i'm definitely going shopping again next week. soo...and i already know exactly what to get both of my secret santas; i just need to find the stuff. so yay!! productive day!! i'm so happy, and i didn't even buy anything for myself! well, okay, i bought a *couple* things for myself, but they're really small things. like extra small. ;) ask chris. can't say what they are cuz then that would give away (part of) what she got for her secret santa person.

i woke up kinda early today too...like noon. ;) was supposed to wake up at 1130 cuz that's when i set my alarm for, but...yeah, ended up getting out of bed at noon. i had the strangest dream...well, dreams. i had several strange dreams. very intense. but then again, i notice that a lot of my dreams are rather intense actually. weird. at least i don't scream in my sleep. i used to do that. scared the crap out of my parents. it wasn't just yelling either, it was like *bloodcurdling* screams.

ohhh!! i'm so happy!! :) i used to never think that buying stuff for other people would make me feel this happy. maybe it's partly because i actually got dressed and went *out* today. not only that, but i went out with chris!! i haven't seen chris since before thanksgiving. we had lunch together at sd, but that was a while ago. yeah, she was the only one i could've gone out with too since everyone's still stuck in finals. but still. i love chris. she's so funny. she told me this story that victor told her about this guy hacking his penis off in a religious fervor. i just stopped in the middle of the mall and started squealing with horror. she was rather graphic. it was gross. i had this horrid mental image. *shudder* but hanging out with chris is just so much fun. i think it's also cuz i hardly ever see her, which is weird since we both go to sd, so when i do see her, i get super excited and she gets excited too (okay, so mostly she's just scared of me cuz i'm jumping up and down and screaming things at her instead of speaking in normal tone of voice) and it's so much fun. we don't even do anything in particular, just talk about funny things [like religious fanatics hacking off their own penis]. ahhh...just like old times. i love that feeling. :) makes me super eager to see everyone else too. ahhh!! i'm so excited!!! and i guess i just really needed to get out of the house. i haven't been out of the house since i got home which was like early saturday morning. geez. i have no life. no really, i'm rather pathetic. well, it probably doesn't help that i don't have a license or car. but still. i think i was starting to develop cabin fever or something. oh well. will see people soon!! hurrah! :)

anyway, now it's time to go keep daddy company. i just realized that this blog was just one big blather. oh well. bye now!

shit. it is fricking COLD up here, goddammit. one thing i don't like about being home is that it is constantly three degrees warmer in here than it is outside, which isn't saying much since it is 57 degrees outside. i'm like a freaking icicle. an ugly one at that. in my attempt to bundle up without feeling like i'm wearing fifty pounds of clothes, i ended up looking like, well, a freak. i'm wearing purple tye-dyed toe socks which do not match with *anything*, red pajama bottoms, a thin tan sweater over a blue tank top, my off-white robe, and a brown scarf. yes, i'm wearing a scarf in my own home. how sad is that. but please don't let this discourage you from visiting me. my parents *do* turn up the heater when guests arrive. no, they don't turn it up for THEIR OWN DAUGHTER, but for guests, of course they'll turn up the heat!! i swear, i'm going to get hypothermia and frostbite by the end of this week and i won't even have stepped outside my house! can't wait to thaw out when i get back to san diego. i mean, the day i was leaving (december 7), there were people GOING TO THE BEACH!! it was *that* warm. don't get me wrong though, i love being home. i can't wait till everyone is home as well so we can go play! i just wish it wasn't so damn cold. actually, i just wish my parents would turn up the freaking heater!!

this is sad. that was about all i have to blog about. the weather. well, there's nothing else to do. i've just been sitting at home, eating unhealthy things and watching tv. oh, my parents went to a shoe repair shop last night and fixed my knee high boots. i broke the heel off the left one last year. it really sucked. but yay! it's fixed now! i think i want another pair of boots. knee high boots. wonder what i would look like in those knee-high combat ones that a lot of goths wear...hmm... nah, don't worry, i'd never actually buy a pair of those, i was just wondering what i'd look like in them. but yeah, i still do want another pair of knee-high boots. maybe a tan color this time. i wouldn't mind another pair of black ones either though since the ones i have right now are a bit tight at the feet. they only had size 5.5 when i bought them and i really really wanted them. ah well. i still like them though.

hmm...i thought i was only blogging to complain about the cold, but i ended up talking about boots. oh well. funny how tangents start. anyway...i'm going to go find something else to do now. i don't know what, but i'll figure something out. oh, and last but not least...

hey...just woke up. ;) at least it's earlier than yesterday!! and i have a good excuse, i didn't get to bed till like 5 am. my dad was already awake and getting ready for work. yeah, i know, it's crazy, but well... :|

so i actually had a semi-exciting night last night considering that i was home the entire night. i was very happy to make someone else very happy. :) jo, the former ebay virgin, found the steve madden bear claw slippers that she's wanted ever since last year when san gave a pair to chi for christmas. i was actually searching for them on ebay a while ago too for jo's birthday, but i guess no one was selling back then. so jo found them last night. it was funny, because i sort of tried to dissuade her from buying them, then went right ahead and bought them myself. first off, i asked her if they were even her size and she said yes. so then i asked her if she was going to bid on them, and she said that she *could* since it was only $18 with the buy it now option, but then i mentioned shipping and handling, and she said, "nah. i won't. i will restrain myself. *sigh*" and i was like, "yes!!!" so i bought them. and then i debated with myself whether i should tell her or not. thing is, when an auction ends, they list the final buyer's username and my username is lilith_chick. so i figured that jo would go back to check the slippers later on and she would find out anyway so i decided to just go ahead and tell her. i'm sure that if my username wasn't lilith_chick, she would never have known and i would have *really* surprised her for christmas since she would've thought that someone else bought them first. ;) but oh well, everything still turned out really great.

fuck fuck FUCK. earthlink is not letting me go to any ucsd webpages. i was able to reach the physics webpage last night, but that was after reconnecting and when i tried to go back to it, they wouldn't let me get in again. but it said that grades would be posted today and now i can't see them!!! dammit. and i want to check the linguistics webpage for my grades also. but stupid earthlink won't let me get into ANY ucsd webpages. ARGH!!!

AHHHH!!! i don't think i blogged about this, but i found out a while ago and was just reminded recently of this. they're showing a free sneak preview of kate & leopold at ucsd. but it's THIS wednesday. the week after finals. what the fuck...?!? it's AFTER finals!! when EVERYONE IS HOME!!! and they also showed a free sneak preview for not another teen movie DURING finals week. are these people stupid or something?! geez. not fair. i mean, not that i really wanted to see not another teen movie, but i just think their scheduling of these sneak previews is unbelievably stupid. grrrr... i want to see kate & leopold. for free!! before everyone else!!! oh well. will hopefully go see it for my birthday.

yay! christmas lights went up today! :)

oh good lord, it is FREEZING here. my god. i have that weatherbug thing that tells you what the temperature outside is on your computer and gives you pretty accurate forecasts and weather warnings. anyway, it has never gone below 55 while i was in san diego. IT SAYS 45 RIGHT NOW. i know, i know, i'm weak, 45 degrees isn't actually THAT cold, but still. i hate it!!! grrr...

anyway, hugh jackman was on snl tonight. he sang!! ohmyGOD. he is so sexy. so so so sexy. that just made him so much hotter than i originally thought he was. well, thing is, i *knew* he could sing (he was in the australian productions of oklahoma and beauty and the beast [he played gaston!! ohmygod, i would've loved to have seen him rip his shirt open and sing, "and every last inch of me is covered with hair!"]) and i actually had heard him sing on rosie o'donnell a long time ago when x-men had just come out, but i hadn't heard him sing since and just hearing him sing tonight made me go all weak in the knees. mmm...huuuuugh jaaaackman....mmmmmm..... he makes me want to scream and faint and giggle and cry all at the same time. okay, so i'm a bit psychotic. whatever. mmm, he's so sexy. *swoooooon* okay, i'll stop now.
