shh...i'm sick.
okay, not really. i just said that so i could skip this afternoon's session. yes, i know, i'm a horrible person. but it's raining and i'm lazy. perfect reasons to ditch work, right?
anyway, look! i'm actually updating within the SAME month. amazing! i think the reason is cuz i have some new pictures and i wanted to post them and i thought that i might as well blog while i do that.
last last weekend was deb/ha/di/alisa's bday bash at dragon bar. i had a lot of fun and it looked like those girls did too. :) this time, i had a whopping three drinks (a sex on the beach and two fuzzy navels) and got quite drunk. i threw up at the beginning of the night - right after finishing my third drink - and it was, embarrassingly, in the middle of the floor. good thing i was drunk and, therefore, immune to embarrassment. :) but that's never happened to me before. i'm usually quite good and can make it to a toilet. but i think what happened was that i thought i was just going to burp. it didn't feel like i was going to throw up. until i did. oh well. i was still drunk after that. spent the rest of the night dancing with my girls and some random guys. lost one of my blue earrings. oh well. stumbled back to the parking garage with mike just before 2. what a fun night. :)
this past weekend was my two year anniversary with mike. TWO YEARS. and that's not even the longest relationship out of everyone's. yeesh. we're old. and boy does time fly. when you're having fun, of course. :) so we spent sunday in san francisco to celebrate. it was a beautiful, gorgeous day. sunny and warm. got windy later though. and naturally, we got lost. fucking san francisco and their complete lack of very important signs. especially ones that say "STOP!! YOU'RE ABOUT TO GO ONTO THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE." sigh. we tried to go to the exploratorium/palace of fine arts but drove right past it because we missed the road to turn left and nearly drove onto the golden gate but got off it just in time. unfortunately, the road we exited was 19th ave which is a freeway and had NO LEFT TURNS. so we wound up driving all the way through golden gate park which is just so very far away from the exploratorium. so we said, fuck the palace of fine arts, let's just go to fisherman's wharf and eat lots of yummy seafood. so we eventually made a big circle back to fisherman's wharf. yay for map reading skills!
once we were at fisherman's wharf, we ate oysters, calamari and chips, seafood mix sandwich, and the BEST clam chowder ever (at chowders, how appropriate). walked around, saw the sea lions, took some pictures, visited some shops, etc. we also went to the wax museum and ripley's believe it or not since mike had never been. the wax museum was incredibly creepy. it was a little underground and there was NO ONE else there. just me, mike, and two dozen wax figures. i swear, they were all looking RIGHT AT ME. and i kept having that paranoid feeling where i would turn around and then turn back and, somehow, the figures would have moved closer to me. creeeeeeeeeepy. anyway, ripley's was neat too. and not as creepy since there were a lot more people there.
and...that's about it. aren't you glad i ditched work? i am. gonna post pictures now.
