winter quarter is officially over.

had my last day of class yesterday. all i have left now is some work, a paper, and two finals. and then one more quarter until i graduate from college. what a scary thought.

but i'd rather not think about that just yet. i'll just focus on something more pleasant like spring break. just have to get through finals week first. ugh.

okay, guess i'll go study now. or nap. or, you know, both.

i feel good today. probably has something to do with the beautiful weather and this cute skirt i'm wearing. :)

oh yeah, and congratulations to sanaz for being accepted into ucsd's school of pharmacy. knew you could do it. ;D

this weekend has been a total lazy san diego weekend.

but man, am i sore and tired. went surfing this morning. but let's start with saturday... woke up pretty late, around noon. as soon as i woke up, helen and sanaz asked me if i wanted to go to the beach. so i got ready, made lunch, and we headed to la jolla shores. it was a bit breezy so we were kind of chilly lying there on the beach trying to tan. but it was nice and relaxing. it was such a pretty day yesterday. afterwards, we went to get boba, picked up a few things at target, then went home. and because i couldn't resist, i went to best buy a little later and bought the heather nova cd. it's so good!! i miss heather nova. she reminds me of high school. later in the night, we watched pirates of the caribbean and amelie. it's nice to just hang out with the roomies and do nothing.

today was an even nicer day. much warmer, less breezy. woke up around 8 to go surfing with sanaz at mission beach. we, uh... had a few problems. basically, we got our asses kicked. literally. a lot of the waves were breaking really close to shore and one of the waves just totally overtook me and sent me skidding back to the beach on my butt. it was sad. uuugh...and now i am sore. and tired. and SORE. at least i got to use my wetsuit finally. it was gross though because i found sand in really strange places on my body. anyway, after that sad ass-kicking, we went to get breakfast at the boardwalk, this really cute cafe near the beach. so much food... but yummy. it was really nice to just sit outside basking in the sun doing nothing really but sipping orange juice and people watching. sigh.

but as soon as we got home, i completely passed out. oof. unfortunately, i woke up a couple hours later even more sore and tired. but i'm forcing myself to stay up. took a shower just now. feel a little better.

but all in all, it's been a pretty lazy weekend. very san diego-ish. i love it.
