freedom! sort of.

it's been two weeks since wisdom has been over. it's just nice to not have to worry about that and to only have work in the afternoons. that's my kind of pace.

so, since then, i went camping in yosemite on august 12-14 with deb, ha, david, mike, steven. it was nice and relaxing. wished a few more people could have come though. but i loved the company i had. did NOT, however, love the caterpillars. ha, mike, and i pitched our tents under a couple of trees which was pretty much the worst place ever since caterpillars were constantly raining down on us and crawling all over our tents. it started with maybe like three caterpillars on our tent and just kept getting progressively worse until the last day when we had well over twenty caterpillars all over our tent. we'd flick them all off but then two minutes later, they would all be back. and they would bring their friends. so lovely. oh yeah, and these caterpillars supposedly cause allergic rashes on some people so i was a little freaked out most of the time despite their harmless appearance. yeah, i know, i'm a wuss. oh well.

on the last day of camping, deb, david, mike, and i went horseback riding. it was my first time! and it was not gentle. my crotch region was very sore for a couple days. so much that i winced a little every time i sat down. ouch. but it was definitely worth it. my horse was named jessie and he was such a sweetie. i adored him. i can see now how easily people get attached to horses. debra rode rumba, mike rode pedro, and david rode sheriff. they took us on a pretty interesting trail that, frankly, i don't even know if i would have hiked, let alone go on horseback. i'd definitely love to do it again.

so, since then, i haven't been doing much. well, i've been spending the money i made from wisdom. just on little shopping sprees here and there. sigh...shopping makes me feel so good.

i've been working with K for almost a month now. it's gotten a lot better since the last time i posted. i actually prefer working with him alone now (as opposed to when i work with him with the head tutor every tuesday). he listens to me and i have a firm and strict style that i use with him that's been pretty successful. he has his bad days like most kids but, for the most part, working with him has been good. i'm hoping that i can pick up another client once i'm settled with K. more money would be nice.

so i've got like a buttload of pictures to put online. like, the entire summer's worth. but i'm so damn lazy. maybe if i'm not feeling too lazy, i'll post some pics up on this blog. ehh...maybe.
