oh. my. god.

i came home with two pieces of luggage. i am now leaving with three pieces.

recap of last night:

- went to macaroni grill for dinner. me and jacq split the veal saltimbocca. the veal was very good. didn't really like the pasta too much though. then we sang happy birthday to ha even though the waiter wanted us to sing baby got back. note to self: get ha a gift.
- finished din early so we hung out at border's for a little while. i haven't been to a bookstore in such a long time. like, an ACTUAL bookstore. there's like, no barnes or border's near campus. =| [holy shit. the keyboard i'm using right now is older than dirt and the "e" button is broken. if you just lightly rest your finger on the button, a whole line of e's will come out which happened just now. i looked away to talk to my mother for a few seconds, and i looked back at the screen and it's filled with e's. and so i said, holy shit. the end.]
- after hanging out at border's for like half an hour, we headed to the comedy sportz club in santa clara. i was a little afraid that it would be sucky and everyone would be like, "uh...cherry...?" but it was actually very very funny. ;D pretty much exactly like the comedy sportz in san diego but there were a few differences, like how the audienced judged some of the games and the wild joker or whatever s/he was called. got to see some games i hadn't seen in san diego too. the animatronic game was hilarious. oh, and i threw out a suggestion!! they played that 5 things game (they played it in san diego too) and for an activity, i suggested snowboarding. :) and then to change it, the guy ended up snowboarding in a bikini down lombard street. ;D anyway, i highly recommend that you all go to a comedy sportz club near you today!!
- after the show ended, we went to tapioca to get pearl milk tea. well, other people got pearl milk tea. i refrained, as usual. :) but we saw alex and jacq's brother there and just hung out for a little bit.
- then we split up and ha's car went to ha's house and deb's car went to deb's house. logical, huh? so i just hung out at deb's house with deb, jo, and jacq till like 2 am. well...i sorta dozed off a little, but yeah...left around 2 am.

you know what? i had a great awesome wonderful terrific spring break. perfect balance of relaxing and hanging out with my gal pals. ;D and got nicely filled up with ma's cooking. now i have to go back to san diego and work work work. freaking shit. that's all i have to say about that.

anyway, i'm gonna go shower and start packing now.

i just bought two water bras. my boobs look HUGE in them. it's really weird, but i guess that's a good thing. my mother said she wanted me to wear more lady like bras. what, was i wearing manly bras before or something?

my head hurts. so i'm gonna go watch tv. :)

i'm tired and sore.

so i spent the day playing with a couple of cute boys. ;D one was three years old and the other was ten months old. they're definitely a handful. at one point, they both rushed me at the same time and knocked me over. i'm just that cool. ;) ohhh....but they were so cute. so so soooo cute. i wanted to keep them and bring them down to san diego with me. ;)

you know what's sad? i'm really tired. but the thing is, i went to sleep at midnight last night and got up at like 11 am. well, actually, i woke up at 7, then 930, THEN i got up at 11. so i slept for about 11 hours, not straight throug, but still, that's a lot of sleeping. and now i'm really tired. but you know what? it's spring break, there's no school, it would just be wrong if i did not sleep as much as possible.

and i'm sore. as expected. what wasn't expected was where i would be sore. i thought my legs would be the sorest part of me today, but they aren't. they're the least. my legs just hurt if i move them. which just motivates me to lay in front of the tv for long periods of time. what really hurts is everything above my legs - my abs, my back, my shoulders, my arms, my wrists, my neck. especially my back and shoulders. those hurt the most. oh well. the only bruise i have (that i can see) is on my right knee. i remember falling on my knees REALLY hard a few times.

okay. i'm uh...gonna go to bed now. yeah yeah, it's early, but if it'll make you happy, i'll wait till AFTER midnight to close my eyes.

just got back from snowboarding. no broken bones, twisted limbs, or death. so it was fun. :) although really, i have to admit the fun factor was mostly due to being around my funny, hilarious girls again. ;D i love them.

so we left last night for davis. drove to berkeley first cuz deb and mar had to pick some stuff up, then went to jo's place and crashed overnight. we went to bed really early! midnight! but then, we had to wake up at like 5 am, so...yeah. so we woke up at 5 am...well, i did anyway. got ready blah blah blah, and drove to boreal. it was nice. hadn't seen snow while driving in a car since we went to ashland for the shakespeare festival. it was very pretty. :)

so we finally make it there in like, record time, apparently. no traffic, plus it was a week-day and a non-holiday. so we got there really early, like 830 or something. and we just rented all our stuff and crap. damn, super expensive. oh well, that's okay. then...we went outside and me, chris, and chi got a lesson from the super jo. she was an awesome instructor, she really was. yeah, the lessons package would've been cheaper but the lesson i received from jo was priceless [awww....]. so, my first run was extremely painful. i fell about every two feet. towards the bottom, my wrists hurt so much cuz i kept falling on them and i kept using them to haul myself back up. eventually, i just couldn't get up anymore. it hurt too much. and i just lay on the hills several times, just exhausted. it was so sad. but i started to get the hang of it. by the end of the day, i went down the hill twice without falling at all!! it was very exciting. okay, so i was going down the hill all retarded-like, but that's okay. it was great, anyway.

had a few ugly spills though. well, no, not really actually. compared to other people, my spills weren't all that bad. i just remember going "AHHH!!!" and "oof." a lot. i got hit in the back of the head with the lift chair i was sitting on too. see, i went up the lift with ha and she was sitting on the right and i was sitting on the left. i still hadn't realized that i'm better at getting off the lift if i sit on the right. so anyway, when we got off, i crashed into ha and got knocked down and the lift chair we were sitting on just swung by and whacked me in the back of the head knocking me down again. but with my quick thinking (or what was left of it anyway), i remembered what jo said, "if you fall, just get out of the way as quickly as possible," so i started crawling away as fast as i could and i kept saying, "I'M OKAY! I'M OKAY! I'M OKAY!" cuz i didn't want them to stop the lift or anything. but yeah, that was about the worst that happened to me.

oh yeah, this was my first time in the snow too. :) so jo had to teach me how to get on a lift. and that "get-away-as-quickly-as-possible-if-you-fall" thing was part of the lesson. but deb said i did pretty well for a beginner and for someone who has never been in the snow before, so i'm happy. :) oh yes, speaking of deb, she was wonderful. drove all the way to davis, then all the way to boreal, AND back. plus she lent me like, everything i was wearing - the jacket, the pants, the gloves, even a backpack (okay, so i wasn't wearing it, but she lent it to me anyway). she is SUPER. i love you, debra. ;D thanks so much for driving and everything.

unfortunately, my nose is now sunburnt. and i think i have like a burn on my forehead. the really bad thing is, it's only the lower half of my forehead because i was wearing a beanie the entire time. dammit! oh well.

really though, just hanging out and being with chris, san, mar, chi, deb, ha, and jo was so so SOOO much fun. hadn't seen san in so long!! and i realized how extremely deaf i am. and i just love it when you can just look at someone and start laughing for no reason whatsoever. it's that funny-unagi thing. ;D mar was funny too. her and her food. while we were eating dinner, she burped and said, "more room!!"

okay, i think i'm going to go take care of my burnt face and change clothes. today was fun. :) really, on our way there, i had images of me returning to san diego in a wheelchair or a cast.

ahhhh...i've been having a great break so far. ;)

recap yesterday:
- went shopping with ma and pa. and then went to eat pho afterwards. mmm....phooooo...hahaha, that looks funny. but oh god, pho was so good. my mom tried to make me order in vietnamese! but i didn't cuz i couldn't. hehe. oh well.
- came home and watched tv till deb called me and told me to go online to talk about snowboarding with her and the other girls. we were all in this aim chatroom and man, it was just funny watching us communicate. AHHH!! I MISS MY GIRLS. i can't wait to see them tonight. ;D

so, against my better judgment, i have decided to join them to go snowboarding. now, i have never skiied before in my life (yes, i realize skiing is different from snowboarding) and i have not seen snow in real life in like, A VERY LONG TIME. i am a pure summer girl. so...this is going to be interesting. i can already see myself with ten thousand bruises. but...i'm going anyway because i want to see everyone. and besdies, jo reassured me that if all else fails, they'll find a sled and just pull me around. ;D hahahaha...i can imagine like six chinese girls pushing and pulling this vietnamese girl around in the snow until she starts rolling into a big snowball and starts hurtling into the other snowboarders. hmm... anyway, we're leaving tonight and we're gonna stay in davis at jo's place overnight. then we're leaving early tomorrow for...boreal, i think. oh man...i'm really frightened now. how about we just forget the snowboarding. the sled idea is looking more and more appealing to me.

anyway, my mother made egg rolls. she makes THE BEST egg rolls. ohmygod...i just took a bite of one and it was just....mmmm...*homer drool*... i was really hoping she'd make them too!! okay, so i'm gonna go enjoy my egg rolls now. bye!!
