my last night of studying. and i could not be less motivated. geez.

look - here's the hot picture of natalie portman i was talking about. and there's more on the website!

wowza...really hot picture of natalie portman in this month's rolling stone. if i was an adolescent boy or, well, a lesbian, i would definitely be turned on.

and...that's about all i have to say about that.

took a nap for about an hour this evening. felt okay. a little surprising that i didn't just konk out for like five hours considering that i didn't sleep at all last night. and i'm still not even that tired. weeeird, man.

this is how out of it i was today though - while i was reading my social psych textbook, i kept trying to translate the sentences into italian.

melissa left today. :( it was weird though. when she came to say goodbye, it didn't seem like she was saying goodbye for the summer. it just felt like another break, which summer is of course, but well, you know.

okay, i'm going to continue sitting here. it just feels so divine to just sit and do nothing. mmm...can't wait to do that for two weeks straight.

okay. two finals down, one to go. well, actually, i only took one final this afternoon but my italian take-home final was due this morning. so didn't sleep at all last night. didn't expect to pull an all-nighter but i was way too stressed to sleep. so...i didn't. oh well.

i cannot WAIT to go home. i'm so anxious i'm already daydreaming about the late mornings lying in bed and the late nights lying in front of the tv. ahhhh.... my lounging days are so close, i can just taste it.

just one more final to go. bleeeh...

ooh, ucsd was on mtv!! there's this little show on mtv called "i bet you will" where they go around random places and offer people money to do random things. first time i saw it was when mtv was at new orleans and they bet this asian girl to get a tattoo for like several hundred dollars. i thought it was funny cuz she bargained and got them to pay her a lot more. not to say that just asians bargain because a lot of people on this show do ask for more money. anyway, there was this story in the guardian (the school paper) a while back about mtv's "i bet you will" being on campus. i totally did not see them on campus anywhere, but then again, i'm a hermit, so... =| oh well. anyway, me and sanaz were watching just now and we saw them on ucsd's campus!! they were on library walk and we could see price center in the background. they bet this guy and this girl to put mouse food in their mouth and put their mouths at opposite ends of this maze. then they put two mice in the maze and the first person to get a mouse in their mouth would win $50. i think it was $50. anyway, the girl won and she asked if she could keep the mouse too and they let her. see, this is what ucsd students do for fun. actually, some of the students on the other campuses they showed did way more disgusting things.

and look what i learned today:
"One of the more pleasant examples of health-related news is one recent finding that people who eat candy regularly live about one year longer than those who completely avoid candy."
[Social Psychology, ninth edition. Robert A. Baron & Donn Byrne.]

i totally did not make this up, i swear. VERY good news for me. ;D

hopefully, if all goes well, i should be home by this time next week. that thought is what's going to keep me going. that and caffeine in the lovely form of mountain dew.

so, i'm almost done with my reading for social psych. i thought all was going well just now when i finished a chapter. i only have two more chapters to read. this would be good news if not for the fact that the next chapter is the LONGEST FUCKING CHAPTER IN THE BOOK. my eyes goggled when i saw how long it was. it's a damn good thing this book is interesting.

anyway, i'm going to play a quick game of solitaire and get back at it.

studying for finals. or, what i like to think of as: considering the many ways in which you are ultimately FUCKED.

anyway, i'm taking a short break from such pleasant thoughts for a midnight snack (and to blog, of course). now normally, i wouldn't eat past eleven because it's bad for your metabolism (i learned this from "i love trouble") but i'm so hungry that i'm getting a headache from it and it's interfering with my studying ability. looking at the ketchup bottle now, i remember one time when i was so out of it that i almost poured ketchup into my glass and drank it. as the snickers ads put it - another side effect of hunger.

ahh...done with my corndog. i feel much better. now to have a nice, refreshing glass of water. not ketchup, water.
