happy december.

woohoo, it's december. what a crazy, lovely month. i'm bored now so i guess i'll blog a bit.

nothing too exciting has been going on. same old, same old. i got rachael yamagata's cd and it's very good. reminds me of heather nova, sarah mclachlan, and a bit of fiona apple. i'm listening to it right now as i blog.

been doing some christmas shopping. a bit for me and a bit for others. ;D thursday, went to stoneridge with deb and bought a warm fuzzy sweater for myself at aeropostale. only problem is that it causes quite a bit of static shock so i wound up shocking myself and mike quite a few times. and it leaves bits of fuzz EVERYWHERE. but it's so warm and comfortable and cute.

friday, went to fry's, best buy, and walmart with mike. bought myself the rachael yamagata cd. at night, we went to watch closer. i thought it was interesting. and i don't mean that in a bad way. i didn't really want to see the movie at first since it just seemed so...pretentious. but mike really wanted to see it (of course, the infamous natalie portman strip scene had absolutely nothing to do with his great desire to watch the movie) so i said okay. it was all right. better than i expected, but then again i didn't really have high expectations for it so that's not saying much. all the reviews and articles for the movie are right though - the dialogue is quite sexually explicit. but there were some funny moments, surprisingly enough. funniest scene is definitely the cyber sex scene between clive owen and jude law. gotta watch that. later that night, we went out for tea with ha and deb. mmmm....thick toast. afterwards, went back to deb's house to play cards. ha taught us to play a different version of big two that involved points. i lost quite badly. wound up with negative 90 something points. but hey, it was fun. we played till about 230 am.

today, did some more shopping with ha and deb. we all bought christmas presents for other people. okay so deb bought me a christmas gift and i bought her one (or rather, mike bought it for her but i just paid for it first), but hey it still counts.

so i've decided to go ice skating at the downtown san jose outdoor rink for my birthday. i've never gone ice skating at an outdoor rink. i'm excited! but i really want to find a good pair of earmuffs before then. i can't find earmuffs ANYWHERE. why is that? grr.

okay, i guess that's all. boredom kept at bay for a few minutes.
