haircut and movies.

got a haircut yesterday (well, tuesday). scroll down for before and after pictures. my hair actually looks exactly the way it used to when i used to keep it short. i had been growing my hair out for over a year so it was a bit sad to part with it. i was accustomed to it and liked it, especially since it had been a long time since my hair was that long. but it was starting to get annoying and i figured the short hair would be easier to take care of. plus, i sort of missed my short hair. anyway, it's funny seeing people's reaction to it. my mom didn't like it. she gave me an upset look and said, "it's too short." i kind of agree, but still. i like it. and i'll probably end up growing it out again anyway.

so anyway, that covers the haircut part of the title. onto movies...

last friday, i watched mr. and mrs. smith. LOVED IT. crazy, hilarious, fluffy entertainment. brad and angelina are so goddamn sexy and good looking, it gives me a headache just to see the two of them sitting next to one another. it's like, i just can't fathom how two people can be so incredibly gorgeous together. it boggles the mind, it really does. anyway, there were some good funny moments in the movie and...i love brad pitt. yeah...not much coherence, but i guess that's what pretty and talented people do to your vocabulary. i liked adam brody, but he was just a little too seth cohen in the movie. the fight scene between brad and angelina in their home was pretty spectacular. definitely worth the price of admission to see them beating up one another. and i really loved all of brad's funny little reactions. he's great at quirky comedic moments.

tonight, i watched batman begins. really really good movie. just totally amazing. and totally makes up for those last two craptastic batman movies. i would say that it ties with batman returns for my favorite batman movie. and i love batman returns mostly because of catwoman (michelle pfeiffer is the definitive catwoman, in my opinion). but the story of batman begins was amazingly well written (yeah, i know i keep using the word "amazing" but i can't help it. i'm still thinking about brad pitt) and all of the actors were really good, especially christian bale, gary oldman, and cillian murphy.

the only two problems i had with the movie were katie holmes and the fight scenes. any time she showed up on screen, i always thought one of three things: 1) where's dawson?, 2) where's tom?, or 3) where's her shiny new scientology textbook? plus, katie holmes is just not a good actress. and she looks particularly lame next to people like christian bale, gary oldman, liam neeson, and cillian murphy. i mean, really. as for the fight scenes, they were shot way too close so no one could tell what was happening. as a result, i mostly tuned out during the fight scenes so i wouldn't get a headache from watching random limbs spazzing about (that sounds weird. oh well). i think what i really liked about the movie is how angry and pissed off christian bale looked as batman. now they just need to redo all the other batman movies with christian bale who i would say is definitely the best batman out of all of them.

man, i can't wait to get both of these dvds when they come out. i also wouldn't mind seeing both of these movies again at cinema saver or something.

anyway, that is my blog. haircut and movies. oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACQUELYN!!
